Plan B and Labrinth are not fans of tinnitus and would quite like it if people wore earplugs during their 'gigs'.
Talking to BBC Newsbeat about his previous hearing problems, Plan B said: "I've been in clubs, in the DJ booth, and just felt my ears going. It was so loud and I thought, 'This ain't good.'"
Ever sensible, he then booked an appointment with his GP and got it sorted. "It's all right now and I don't need them all the time but if you are a DJ or you produce, if you have the music loud you are damaging your ears," he continued.
Also backing a campaign to have earplugs given out free at festivals and concerts, Labrinth came out with this gem: "Safety is more important than enjoyment."
That's your slogan right there.
"I have always been careful of that [tinnitus]," he went on. "I remember I left a club one night and my ear was ringing the whole of the next day and I was so scared."
Turns out he had a phone stuck in it.
