Saint Etienne have been chatting to Billboard about the special edition of their album 'Words And Music' that's available to buy at their US 'gigs'.
Billboard call it an "eight-piece disc", which is a bit confusing, but it's basically the normal version of the album plus some bonus material including covers and suchlike.
"We're such big pop fans, I know that if a band I liked had extra bits on it I'd be more likely to buy it," Bob Stanley explained. "I think people appreciate it."
Talking about the album more generally and why they decided to make music about music itself, Pete Wiggs said this: "We'd been doing a lot of interviews putting together the reissues, so as we looked at that we started thinking back quite a lot about the various stages in our lives. We've all got kids who listen to music now, and the way they listen to it is a lot different than how we grew up listening."
"We all grew up around the same time, so that feeling of the journey of music is something we wanted to capture," added Sarah 'Crackno' Cracknell.
