Music Matters and The Brits will hand out an inaugural 'Unsung Hero' award this year to a member of a popstar's 'backroom' team.
The shortlist has been compiled by One Direction, Olly Murs JLS and, er, Anna Calvi.
The award aims to "shine a light on the hard-working individuals" who thanklessly toil while the glamorous popstars they tend to are out enjoying a Nandos.
The list of nominees starts with X Factor vocal coach and Britney Spears lyricist Savan Kotecha (pictured) who along with fellow renowned producer/songwriters Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk have been nominated by One Direction for their work on the 'Up All Night' album.
Other nominees are JLS' "indispensable" social media manager Katie Ray (!), musical director to Rizzle Kicks Adam Sosner (!?) and Anna Calvi's official photographer Emma Nathan (?!?!). Olly Murs put forward Marky Murphy, who he says has sacrificed his life with his "wife and beautiful family in Dublin" to be his tour manager.
The winner will not be announced at a prestigious ceremony on February 16. Voting is open to the public here.
