Remember this name: Jermaine Paul (no idea) has been crowned winner of The Voice US under the 'coaching' of Blake Shelton (no idea).
US pop's great new hope sang songs by Bon Jovi, Phil Collins and Journey to edge out Juliet Simms, Chris Mann and friend of the stars Tony Lucca.
Paul has previously worked as a backing vocalist for Alicia Keyes, singing on a number of her records, as well as working with Mary J Blige, Brandy and the great Joss Stone. It's great to see that The Voice can really give normal people a route into a singing career isn't it.
Jermaine wins $100,000 in cash an a recording contract with Universal Republic Records, a prize which certainly worked out well for last year's winner Javier Colon (no idea).
Here's the moment Jermaine won.
