Sophie Ellis-Bextor is releasing a remix album called 'Wandermix' (!), which she promises showcases her return to dance music.
Basically the album (it's not really an album) is a 23-minute continuous mix thing made up of five songs from 'Wanderlust' and it's compiled by Roy Kerr, who as you well know has worked with the likes of London Grammar, Lana Del Rey and, er, Kasabian.
The press release promises a "modern house sound" as well as some of "Sophie's trademark disco pop", but we'll be the judge of that thank you very much.
Sophie meanwhile has this to say about it all:
“Wandermix is a long playing remix of some of the songs from Wanderlust. I'm so happy with the results — Roy Kerr has done such a wonderful job. I hope people enjoy it. See? I told you I wouldn't leave dance music behind for good.”
They always go back to their roots in Q4, don't they readers?
