Steps are still deciding whether or not to record a new album.
Lead singer Lee Latchford-Evans told Star Playlist: "There’s talk of a new album but it’s just speculation."
He admitted that the band would "love to do it", but they've yet to approach songwriters and producers and are focussing on the tour for now.
"We haven’t actually sat down with anyone to discuss how Steps might work in the modern world, and with which producers," he said.
Alexandra Burke will be pleased to hear that on the Steps tour there will literally be no elephants in the room. Inexplicably, Lee ended the interview saying: "We ain’t got any elephants on stage but we’ve got a few things the fans really want."
