Tegan and Sara, aka Tegan & Sara, have been chatting away about how they consciously wanted their new album to be catchier.
"I stood over Sara the whole time in the studio, yelling: 'Verse, chorus, keep it simple'," Tegan explained to — YOU KNOW IT! — the Daily Star Playlist.
For Sara it was all about trying to be someone else while she was putting pen to pad: "I tried writing as if it were someone else singing it, like Alicia Keys."
"Before, I'd say: 'You've made me very upset, and here's why.' But now it's: 'You've fucked me up'."
They also talked a bit about writing a song for David Guetta and basically they never met him and it was all done via email or something.
