Ed Sheeran is fully aware of the fact that the UK needs a bit of a break from him, which is why he's buggering off to America for a bit.
"I think it's important to give the UK public a little bit of a break," he mused to the BBC. "I've been here for a long time doing a lot of TV and a lot of radio and you have to go away for a little bit."
Can you perhaps take Emeli Sandé with you, Ed?
Asked how he's getting on with his new opus, he 'explained':
"I could be 100% or I could be 20% [finished], it's all down to the songs. I think I've got the songs, but I'll find out when I record them."
We live in exciting times.
