The singer from The Script's been chatting to some people and you know what, he doesn't even want a Brit award, but thanks anyway.
"I was talking to a lot of people when I was on holiday over Christmas and it seems the more awards you get the more complacent you start to become," he mused to the Daily Star Playlist — who else! — after The Script were nominated for Best International Group.
"We’ve always been pipped at it for whatever reason but it’s never stopped us from going on and being successful."
Ever humble and sincere, he went on to say that the award should go to a band who haven't tasted the levels of success The Script have.
"The stage we’re at now — 'Hall of Fame' has gone platinum in America, we’re No 1 in Germany — I say don’t give us the award, give it to someone who is more deserving, a younger band who need the help. We don’t need the help. Finally we’ve got a bit of recognition — but we’re rocking and rolling with or without awards."
'Rocking and rolling'.
