Tyler James, who had hits with 'Why Do I Do?' and 'Foolish' in the mid-2000s, has auditioned for The Voice.
The Voice rules stipulate that any unsigned artist, regardless of previously having a record deal, can come along and audition for Jessie, will., Tom and Danny from The Script.
However, a 'source' told The Sun "artists who had deals in the past must still be of a top standard to compete".
We could only find a remix clip of Tyler's Number 16 hit 'Foolish' but you can listen to that here if you like.
