will.i.am's BFF Tyler James has announced via Twitter that he has signed to Universal's Island Records.
In keeping with the adage 'a Twitpic tells a thousand words', he tweeted a picture of the Island logo accompanied by the hashtag '#its official'. He then tweeted a picture of the Universal logo and him with an Island employee in front of an Island logo, just in case no one picked up on this subliminal message.
Yesterday, The Daily Star quoted him as saying of his forthcoming album: "I have written what I think will be my next single, called Single Tear."
"It’s not a slit-your-wrists song but it is a sad ballad. It’s a bit like One Republic and Timbaland’s Apologize or Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River."
Amazing.
In further updates, Tyler has just announced that he will be playing a show at Shepherd's Bush Empire on November 21.
That is just about all the Tyler James news for now.
