Unlike some of her peers, Misha B is happy she went on The X Factor

Misha B has taken the slightly unpre­ced­en­ted step of thanking the X Factor for getting her where she is today.

Having a chat with the BBC, B said: "If it wasn't for X Factor I wouldn't see myself where I am right now. The journey really begins because we're in the real music industry now."

She also said that the exper­i­ence of being on the show has made her tougher: "Being a con­test­ant things are out of your hands anyway. I learned you've got to be thick skinned, take everything with a pinch of salt. Don't believe your own hype."
